GOAL: Let's put a small colony of cats in a safe home. Let's make sure that they live there all through their lifetime. For this reason let us establish a foundation together.
What we leave behind won’t be concrete. It will not take your breath away. It will cherish the breath of natural, ordinary, collaborative ways of living. It will be the breath itself.
About
Minikgüneşparçam was the name of a cute, shiny, sparkling kitty. Then it turned out to be the name of a goal that aims to save and rehabilitate the bond between street animals and people.
This art attempt targets to establish a foundation that creates and supports attempts, projects and documents which help to maintain the enhancement and sustainability of the bond between tamed/street animals and people. It is not only an animal care program but an art attempt.
I am an artist involved in ecological art practices trying to create art related solutions to social or environmental issues. As an artist I propose this foundation and the road that leads to this foundation as an artwork itself; art that deserves being created; art that creates a difference in life; art that keeps out of museums for good; art that possess the will to share and to live life to its fullest; literally.
After years of feeding street animals and trying to take part in animal’s rights activist attempts, I chose to create a minor difference in their lives that can hopefully last long after my time on earth.
This time, again, the process is more important than the result, yet, in the end I am willing to establish a foundation for this goal that can last longer.

The first step was learning to take care of the animals. The second one was learning to stay alive. Then the road map took me to an instagram page that shares our stories and their life.

As a result of unfortunate incidents I had to turn an apartment with a garden access into a shelter for a small community of cats. Now I am trying to get it legally correct and also I am trying to take the next steps to achieve financial security for the foundation.
For this reason I started two NFT projects. One of them is my own art, especially the short, loop videos I did during these last couple of years.
immediate goals
Ponçikhane
Before the end of 2022 I have to find a house for Ponçikhane (it is the name I gave to the shelter for these animals).
According to the new law that is going to take effect in 2023 cats living on the streets of Istanbul and other cities of Turkey may be taken away to shelters. But there is not enough shelter for them and the already existing ones have poor conditions. Again according to the new law private shelters can not be situated in apartment buildings. The one I use is in an apartment building.
NFT collections
I found sponsors who are happy to help this small colony of cats; around 50 to 60 cats with only around 20 of them having access to the apartment.
My family, my mother, my sister, my two aunts, my 2 close friends, 6 neighbours. Yet what I have to achieve needs more income than they can afford. Also I have to have options to choose other solutions for this goal.
Therefore I decided to look into the opportunities we can use in the 3rd web. Starting with two NFT collections and of course trying to find a way for more cleaner nft solutions. Turns out a cleaner nft needs a more up to date equipment.
Up to date equipment
I need to find a way to promote and to get financial security for these animals. Buiiding a web page on my own, trying to understand web3 and trying to accomplish a secure smart contract for the NFTs. My laptop is from 2011. I can't update it anymore; it does not let me. My phone is iphone6; the same problem goes with the phone.
So for now I have only "no code" solutions for these projects. But I know that I will have to get up to date equipment soon.
